The Microsoft versus Apple rivalry is back on and it's bad for everyone Microsoft Surface Book Last September,  Microsoft exec  Kirk Koenigsbauer  made a landmark on-stage appearance  at an Apple event to promote Microsoft Office on the iPad Pro. The peace between the two big rivals didn't last long. Today, Apple slammed Microsoft during the launch of a brand-new, smaller iPad Pro, which it bills as a laptop replacement. "You might not know this, but the majority of iPad Pro users are coming from a Windows PC," Apple's Phil Schiller said on stage during March 21st's Apple event. He also noted that 600 million PCs currently in use are more than 5 years old, and quipped, "That's really sad." Later in the same presentation, Schiller directly and favorably compared the new iPad Pro's processing power to Microsoft's immensely successful Xbox 360 video game console. Split-screen Mode, Improved Notifications, and More Google has released the first Android N developer preview with plenty of new features Google recently released the very first  Android N Developer Preview  with new features such as a split-screen mode, better notifications, and more. The new Android N OS was supposed to be showcased at this year’s Google I/O, but the company decided to give developers a special treat. The first preview for Android N is now available for download and comes with plenty of new features. Lumia Users

Sorry Lumia users: Microsoft breaks its Windows 10 Mobile upgrade promise Some sad news for Windows Phone users. Although Microsoft had earlier promised that all Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices would receive Windows 10 very soon, it’s going back on it’s own promised word. A report by  The Verge  points out that Microsoft started rolling out Windows 10 Mobile to existing Lumia devices this week, and revealed that handsets such as the Lumia 920 and Lumia 1020 will be stuck on Windows Phone 8. Microsoft’s website had promised that several listed devices would be “first” to upgrade, resulting to that other devices would be “second” in line. Sadly, the company said that there will be no “second wave” of upgrades, and that third party devices that weren’t on the list also won’t make the cut either. Officially supported Lumia devices include Lumia 1520, Lumia 930, Lumia 830, Lumia 730, Lumia 735, Lumia 640, Lumia 640XL, Lumia 635 1GB, Lumia 636 1GB, Lumia 638 1GB, Lumia 540, Lumia
