Microsoft makes Office 2016 available as a public preview

Following the first developer previews of the brand new Office 2016, Microsoft has today made available the public preview for the first time. Office 2016 is the next version of Microsoft's renowned desktop software, not to be confused with the all-new touch office apps coming with Windows 10 for phones and small tablets.

"In March we introduced an IT Pro and Developer Preview for the 2016 release of our Office desktop apps on Windows, and now—as a next step—we're ready to take feedback from a broader audience. Today we're expanding the Office 2016 Preview, making it available to Office users everywhere in preparation for general availability in Fall 2015.

Office 2016 previewers will get an early look at the next release of Office on Windows desktop, but more importantly they'll help to shape and improve the future of Office. Visit the Office 2016 Preview site to learn more about the Preview program and if it's right for you."

Nexus

Huawei and Google reportedly releasing a Nexus phone this fall This year, we may see a first for Google’s line of Nexus Android phones: a Chinese manufacturer. The Information reports that Huawei is in line to produce the device, which is said to be planned for fall. It’s not the first we’ve heard of the possibility; IBT said last month that the Huawei Nexus phone was coming, citing an employee at the company’s UK branch, while Android Police published a tentative rumor in May suggesting that there would be two Nexus phones this year — a 5.7-inch Huawei device and a 5.2-inch phone from LG.
